 Angels fly in all colors and ethnicities

The paper-thin but extremely durable translucent porcelain angels are made from a high-quality high-fired porcelain.

The Southwestern style angels are made from stoneware.

Because I use no commercial molds in my work,  each  angel is one of a kind;

they are made individually and never are two alike.  Click on thumbnails to enlarge picture.

The Story of the Palm Angel

   In Western New York , Helen Brown, a 90 + year old wood carver lovingly carved angels that fit perfectly in the palm of the hand.  She gave these angels to the ill, to the troubled and to those in pain.

  Helen always maintained that she had no magical powers, but, somehow, her angels always seemed to bring relief from pain, remission from disease, respite from troubles.  Those of us who knew Helen knew that she prayed as she carved and that each angel was given with love.  That just might have something to do with their “power”.

   Helen died in 1997, but recipients of her angels have often passed then along to others when they saw someone in need. Thus, her legacy of generosity and love lives on.

    "Helen’s carving blocks and tools were given to me by her family.  Unfortunately, I’m not a wood carver.  So, in Helen’s style, prayerfully, I make 3" Palm Angels from porcelain.  They aren’t for sale, but, as long as I am able I will gladly give one to anyone who needs one. Contact me for more information." - Jo
